Share Your Story - Military Spouse Denied Unemployment Insurance
We are gathering stories of women who live in the target states who have been denied unemployment insurance because they work part-time or because they left their job due to compelling family reasons (domestic violence or sexual abuse, to care for a sick family member, or to relocate with a spouse who has found a job in another area). If you a military spouse who was denied unemployment insurance benefits because you left your last job to relocate with your spouse to a new base, please share your story. Some states have already reformed their laws to allow a worker who leaves a job to relocate with a spouse to qualify for unemployment insurance benefits. Your story will help make the case for reforming the law in your state.
