Recovery Finally Brings Drop in Women’s Unemployment Rate, NWLC Analysis Shows

(Washington, D.C.) Analysis by the National Women’s Law Center of jobs data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the unemployment rate for adult women dropped to 7.4 percent in March 2012. This marks the first month that adult women’s unemployment rate was lower than their 7.6 percent unemployment rate at the start of the recovery in June 2009.
