Help Stop Efforts to Repeal the Health Care Law!
Even before the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the health care law is constitutional, opponents of the law already had decided that they were going to repeal it. To make matters worse, they have no plan to ensure that women and their families have access to quality, affordable health care.
They say it's about policy. It is — a policy of putting politics above the health of women and their families.
Tell your Member of Congress to oppose repealing the health care law.
The health care law is already providing people with pre-existing conditions access to health care coverage. It prevents insurance companies from dropping women and their families when they become sick or denying health coverage to children with pre-existing conditions. The law also will end discriminatory insurance practices like charging women more than men for the same health care coverage and denying coverage to domestic violence survivors and to mothers who have had Caesarean sections under the guise that these are pre-existing conditions. Repealing the law, and stripping away these critical protections, will return us to the days of being at the mercy of the insurance industry.
We have achieved so much. We are closer than ever to realizing our goal of quality, affordable, and accessible health care for all. Opponents' attempt to repeal the law means our fight is not over — and it's important that the pundits and politicians know that.
The National Women's Law Center will fight any efforts to weaken the landmark health care law — including the repeal vote on July 11. And we hope you'll fight with us.

No Privacy/Confidentiality protection????
Did you know that if you are receiving federal aid, there are no privacy and confidentiality protections under HIPPA? If you receive services for mental health, cash aid and a long list of other services you do not have the same protections under the HIPPA law and the companies required to follow those law know this. That is why they target their offenses to a specific type of client. :( Any chance they will fix this oversight???
