White House Summit on Judicial Vacancies

Yesterday, a day after President Obama announced the nominations of three exceptional individuals to fill the vacancies on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, I attended a White House summit on the judicial vacancy crisis. Administration officials spoke about the importance of filling vacancies on the federal bench, and especially those on the D.C. Circuit.

The summit was attended by advocates from around the country, with representatives from women's bar associations, minority bar associations, and other interested individuals from 30 states and D.C. And everyone I spoke to had the same goal in mind: working together to fill the vacancies that plague our federal courts.
