The Child Care and Early Learning Coalition's letter to the Administration's Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform urges them to ensure that domestic discretionary spending not be reduced to or frozen at levels that would jeopardize investments in programs such as early care and education.

Sign-On Letter to Congress in Support of Maintaining Critical Funding for Child Support

The child support program touches the lives of 17.4 million children - or one out of four - and distributes about $24 billion dollars in child support to families annually.  But families stand to lose $2 billion in uncollected support in FY 2011 alone if Congress does not act soon to prevent cuts to the program from taking effect.
