Contraception is critical to women's health, but many health benefit plans still fail to cover contraceptive drugs and devices, even when they cover other prescription drugs and devices.

You can take action to change that!

Join women across the country who are coming forward to demand that prescription contraceptives be included in their health insurance. From Seattle to Nebraska to New York, women are demanding that their employers comply with recent rulings by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and numerous federal courts declaring that it is illegal sex discrimination to exclude coverage of prescription contraceptives from an otherwise comprehensive health benefit plan.

The National Women's Law Center's PILL4US Campaign will give you the information you need to assess your company's health plan, and the tools to approach your employer about contraceptive coverage.

Please Note: A number of employers have recently added contraceptive coverage to their employees' health plans. To keep the momentum going, we need to know -- and let others know -- about your efforts to persuade your employer to add this coverage to your health plan. PLEASE TELL US about your efforts, including whether you use our suggestions to advocate for this important coverage, and how your employer responds. You can email us at Info@nwlc.org. Your story might inspire other women to follow your lead and get the health care coverage they need and deserve!

The National Women's Law Center is taking action at the federal and state levels to get coverage of prescription contraceptives included in employer health plans.
