(Washington, D.C.) The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) announced the appointment of Nancy Withbroe as its new Vice President for Development and Strategy, the Center said today.
Withbroe brings to the Center more than 20 years of development experience and most recently served as Senior Director of Development for Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.
She previously worked as a non-profit fundraising executive at CDR Fundraising Group, advising such organizations as the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and the Wounded Warrior Project, among others. Before that, she maintained her own fundraising consultancy. She also has worked at the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital and the Treatment and Learning Centers in Rockville, Maryland.
Withbroe holds a BA in English and Women’s Studies from Carleton College and an MA in Educational Leadership from American University and is a certified fundraising executive (CFRE). She served as president of the Washington, D.C. Metro Area Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and was a founding co-chair of the Bridge to Integrated Marketing and Fundraising Conference, one of the largest educational conferences for nonprofit professionals in North America.
