The National Women's Law Center is pleased to announce, in partnership with the Association for Career and Technical Education, the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity, and the National Association of State Directors of Career and Technical Education, the Programs and Practices That Work recognition project.
Programs and Practices That Work: Preparing Students for Nontraditional Careers aims to recognize local and state educational agencies or schools across the country that have implemented effective programs and practices for improving student access to and success in pursuing careers that are non-traditional for their gender. Programsare chosen for recognition based on input from the career and technical education (CTE) community, and information about successful programs will be shared widely.
Over the past three years, the National Women's Law Center and its partners have recognized eight model programs that have successfully improved gender equity in career and technical education. Read about recognized programs here.
