2. Role of Agents and Brokers in Health Insurance Exchanges
There are lots of discussions in state capitols across the country around what, if any, role agents and brokers will have in the health insurance exchanges. We will be joined by an expert on the role of agents and brokers to discuss the role agents and brokers play in the current individual and small group insurance markets, what role they may play in 2014, and what sort of principles state advocates should consider when discussing the role of agents and brokers.
- Dave Chandra (chandra@cbpp.org), Senior Policy Analyst at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
3. Role of Navigators in Health Insurance Exchanges
A crucial element to the success of the exchanges is the role of navigators — entities that will receive grants to help people understand their options and obtain health coverage. We will talk about the specific role navigators can play to help women receive coverage.
- Anna Benyo, Senior Health Policy Analyst at the National Women’s Law Center
