A Step in the Direction of Equal Pay

Last Thursday, New York State Senator Liz Krueger introduced the Fair Pay Bill, which would protect workers from being retaliated against for talking about their salaries. We were glad to hear that another state has taken a step in the right direction.

A high school in Silbee, Texas, kicked a cheerleader off the squad for refusing to cheer for her rapist by name—and in September, the Fifth Circuit approved.

Educating Schools about Pregnant and Parenting Teens' Rights

A lot of people have been talking about "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom," two reality shows on MTV that follow high school students through the last months of their pregnancies and the first years of parenthood. A sad fact about many of the mothers on these shows is that they do not finish high school.
