Robin Reed, NWLC's Director of Online Communications, oversees the organization's website, email, social media, and blog. Prior to joining the NWLC team, Robin served as the Director of Email Marketing at the Center for American Progress and as the Senior Editorial Manager at the Human Rights Campaign. Robin is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. Happy Women’s Equality Day!

Today, August 26, is Women’s Equality Day. Today, we’re commemorating the day the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was certified, guaranteeing women in the United States the right to vote.

It still astonishes me every time I look at that date. 1920. Only 88 years ago.
