Audio Recording and Transcript for Early Childhood: What Happened in FY 2011 CR and What's Next for FY 2012

Helen Blank from the National Women's Law Center (NWLC) provided an update of the the FY 2011 appropriations process and also what's to come for FY 2012. The conference call discussed how the budget increases in FY 2011 affect the current gaps in child care and early learning, implementation issues around the competitive grant program to improve state early child care and education systems, and implications of the FY 2012 budget decisions for early childhood programs as well as other key supports for low-income children and families.
