More Than One in Seven Women Live in Poverty

More than one in seven women live in poverty and over half of all poor children live in families headed by women. Every day, parents are forced to choose between rent and utilities, food and medicine. Meanwhile, Congress is about to choose whether to protect programs for struggling families or expand tax cuts for millionaires. That choice should be easy.
