National Women's Law Center Opposes House Ways and Means Proposals that Would Hurt Women

The National Women's Law Center sent a letter to the chairman and ranking member of the House Ways and Means Committee in opposition to proposals that would create a financial barrier to claiming tax credits to make insurance more affordable under the Affordable Care Act, limit access to the refundable Child Tax Credit, especially for immigrant families, and eliminate the Social Services Block Grant, which provides funding for child care and other important social services.
