Webinar on Women’s Preventive Services in the Affordable Care Act
This presentation explains Women’s Preventative Services in the Affordable Care Act.
The Affordable Care Act requires that new health plans provide coverage of certain preventive services without co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles. Many of these services are of particular importance to women, like birth control, well-woman visits, mammograms, and breastfeeding supports and supplies. While many women are accessing these preventive services without out-of-pocket costs, some women are still being charged for these services, and the National Women’s Law Center is here to help by providing a hotline for information and an online toolkit.
