Moving Forward... Protecting Women's Health Care - Women and the Affordable Care Act
To celebrate the one year anniversary of the health care law, the National Women's Law Center, MomsRising and the National Partnership for Women and Families joined forces with women's health advocates from across the country to discuss the parts of the new health care law that have already gone into effect and what provisions are yet to come. The webinar featured women’s health advocates, a MomsRising member sharing her story on how the law is already impacting her family, and very special guests from President Obama's Administration -
- Melody Barnes, the Director of the Domestic Policy Council and Domestic Policy Advisor to President Obama; and
- Jeanne Lambrew, Deputy Assistant to President Obama for Health Policy
The webinar was held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 1 PM Eastern.
