Scheduled increase: Jan. 1, 2014: The minimum wage will be adjusted for inflation in Albuquerque and Santa Fe only. Albuquerque's tipped minimum wage will rise to 60% of the inflation-adjusted minimum wage. Santa Fe's tipped minimum wage is not scheduled to increase.
2013 legislative action: In March 2013, the legislature passed a minimum wage increase to $8.50, but Gov. Martinez vetoed the bill.
