Why Women Should Vote (Overview)

Women Voted, Women Won!

The election results of November 7th indicate that women candidates and several key ballot questions on issues of importance to women did well this year with voters.

In addition, we know from exit polls that women, especially single women, were decisive in voting for a change of direction for the country.

The National Women’s Law Center, together with Women’s Voices. Women Vote., is proud to have been a part of helping women head to the polls with information about the issues you care about. We know there is never enough time to do what you HAVE to do each day, much less to learn more about the issues that concern you. That’s why our series of short summaries outlining why it's important for women to register and vote - addressing issues like access to health care and education, equal pay and job opportunities, and protecting Social Security are so critical.

Check out these materials, and please continue to share them with your friends, families, co-workers and neighbors.
